Welcome to Botswana, a small, dynamic country that is a success story for the African continent. Although a large part of Botswana is the Kalahari Desert, in the north- eastern corner of the country you’ll find a paradise for all kinds of life – The Okavango Delta.
This massive wetland is home to the single largest concentration of African Elephant in the world, as well as over 400 bird species, 200 mammal species and 150 reptile species. There are many ways to visit them and explore the crystal-clear waters and wilds of Botswana.

Botswana is a small, landlocked country, sharing borders with South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe and, at most, a few hundred meters with Zambia.
Botswana’s capital city is Gabarone, it’s population is 2.3 million, and its two main languages are Setswana and English
The Okovango Delta is very flat, with less than 2 m (6 ft 7 in) variation in height across its 15,000 km2 (5,800 sq mi)
Like Zimbabwe, Botswana is bordered by Victoria Falls, and offers an alternative view of the Seventh Natural Wonder of the World.

WHEN TO TRAVEL
THE COOLER MONTHS OF MAY TO SEPTEMBER ARE THE BEST TIME OF YEAR FOR A BOTSWANA SAFARI.
Very little rain falls during this time of the year and malaria risk is at its lowest. Hot and dry Septyhember and October are also particularly good months to visit the Okavango Delta as thirsty animals are concentrated in big numbers.
Game viewing is consistently excellent until the beginning of the rain season in November , which turns Botswana into a lush, green eden.

The Chobe National Park encapsulates and preserves most of the Okavango Delta. There are few experiences as exciting and captivating as wandering its tributaries in a wooden makoro canoe.
Keen birders will spot and endless parade of colourful birds posing from the reeds.
A truly special way to see the Delta is by helicopter, offering breathtaking views of the crystal-clear waters and the animals roaming the park.

Firstly the stop at the Big Tree, ancient Baobab some 16 meters in girth, kicks off the tour with an explanation of the geology of the Victoria Falls. From the Livingstone View to the Devil’s Cataract, on to the Main Falls, past the Rainbow Falls and to the Danger Point, participants walk the full Falls through the Rainforest, where they may catch a glimpse of bushbuck and other wildlife.
